- separate children's area containing picture books, fiction, videos, DVDs and audio books
- Essential skills collection with books to help you learn English and maths
- local history collection of material on Hove and Sussex
- special collections of reference material which include the Wolseley Collection, Retrospective Children's books and Private Press Collection

- join us for a Baby Boogie or story time session
- pop in with your kids (pre-school) for a Rock & Rhyme session. 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at 10.15am.
- book a Silver Surfer internet tutorial session for the over 50s
- join one of the reading groups,
for book lovers to talk about what they read
- borrow a DVD or CD
- research local and family history, using microfilms from the 1700s onwards,
directories and original documents
- contact Brighton & Hove City Council, through City Direct
- reserve books, DVDs and music CDs from any Brighton & Hove City
